Essence of Togetherness

Image
Togetherness is a very important topic today. Nowadays we are living in a society where everyone is interested only in their life. We hardly see people talk to others now. Even festival and happy occasions have become an indoor affair. I feel so disconnected today in real life. Most of us are friends only on Facebook. We chat only over phone. Gone are those days where we used to a take the bike and visit our friends or have a casual chat with our neighbors. We hardly know what is happening next door. I saw this Kissan advertisement which also re-iterated the fact on how much we are living a detached life today. Most of us are on phones talking with someone else and hardly realize what is happening. It’s very important to feel for others. In today’s society it is the need of the hour. This is a good initiative by Kissan. Visit  http://www.kissanpur.com/  for more information. Nature is the best thing that can bring people together. It’s a joy which no other thing can give

New Baggout - Fashion Shopping App

Image
Recently I came across an app in Google play store for shopping. It’s called Baggout. I normally shop online for clothing, luggage, jewelry, shoes etc. Most of the times its through Jabong, Flipkart or Amazon. Sometimes you shop in one site and then realize that you could have searched the other site as well. So it felt great to have one place where I can see all choices available across different online stores. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.baggout.android The app got installed pretty quickly and did not eat up much of my phone memory. The size was just 4.1 MB. Once installed I was thrilled to see so many products available across so many categories across different merchants. Specifically with respect to daily wears like T-Shirts, Jeans, Short and footwear I could view all choices across stores and could choose the best one. For people who love cash-back you will find a lot of offers here on one place instead of choosing from different sites.

My top 5 travel destinations

I am a person who loves travelling. It could be a short travel to a nearby town/ village/ outing destination or a long trip to a hill station. Being in Chennai I get bored of the hot climate throughout the year. Especially in the peak summers it is even tough to step outside. This is when most of the people in Chennai pack their bags and head towards a hill station. If you are Chennai there are a lot of places which you can visit. I normally do a travel once in a month. Sometimes there are regular travel to my parents place and in-laws. But even when I am there I try to visit places close by to that place. I plan at least one big travel in a year which is at least spending 2-3 days in that place. I guess I got this habit of travelling because of my dad’s job. He used to get transfers and so I got to see a lot of places like Salem, Chandigarh, Pune and Chennai. When we used to stay in these places we used to visit all the places to visit which were nearby. And once in a year

Finally 4G is here

Well the wait is over. We finally have 4G network here. Thanks to Airtel for bringing it first. Especially after the arrival of smartphones a faster network has become an essential. We know how much irritating it used to be using a 2G network. During those days I used to check the cricket scores when I was travelling. It would take ages for a page to load and refresh. Thankfully we then had 3G network. Browsing was a much better experience. With smartphones every phone had 3G enabled services. So it was easy to migrate to 3G data plan. I guess usage of Facebook increased after the introduction of 3G network. With various Chat applications coming in like WhatApp the 3G network was the need of the hour. Though initially I did feel that 3G plans were highly priced, but later on I felt that it is better to work on a 3G network at a slightly higher price than suffering with a slow 2G network. It used to waste our time a lot using 2G network. All those buffering used to take ages a

Benefits of a balanced healthy diet

When we say diet many people think that they need to reduce the intake of food. This is not correct. A healthy diet means you eat healthy. It does not mean that you should eat less. It is important to understand what a healthy diet is. It varies from person to person based on their lifestyle and eating habits. There is no standard diet plan which is applicable for everyone. Some people are naturally low on fat. They should eat food which are high on fat. So a diet plan for an obese person will not apply for them. Healthy diet is a combination of regular food like rice, wheat, ragi etc. along with fresh vegetables and fruits. So does it mean you should not eat your favorite snack? No, you can eat your snack in a specified limit and still maintain your health by balancing your diet. The day when you eat heavy snack in the evening, you can reduce the calorie intake during dinner or work out more to burn those extra calories. There are a lot of tips in the dabur honey websit

Cricket is not a sport. It is a religion in our country. Cricketers are worshipped as GOD. How many times have we seen the poster that reads “In India Cricket is a religion and Sachin is the GOD of cricket”. Such is the craze of cricket. It is not just the youngsters but people across all generations that are addicted to cricket. I remember my mother and grandma were praying during the final stages of World Cup final which India won. Cricket runs in the blood of people I guess. Every kid grows up wanting to become a Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, and Ganguly. This shows the importance of cricket. Some people bunk classes, office to watch a cricket match. They give all kind of excuses for watching a match. But there could be situations when you can avoid going to school, office, function or an urgent travel. It’s really heartbreaking for a cricket fan to doing any activity leaving a cricket match. Today most of them use smartphones to keep a track of the scores. This is a co

Some tips for Family

“I am participating in the ‘Ready For Rewards’ activity for Rewardme in association with BlogAdda.” I read through some articles in https://www.rewardme.in/family section. Some of them were very interesting topics. Family life is the most important thing for a man. You might think career is more important but what many of us don’t realize that all the success in career is not useful if you don’t have your family to celebrate the success. In todays’ life we get so entangled with financial commitments that we are always running behind money. We want to grow our career graph quickly so that we can meet all our financial commitments. It is important to earn money but not at the cost of your family. At the end of the day we do all that hard work for the family. Today I see many people decide that weekends is for family and throughout the week their time is entirely dedicated for work. This might not be a right approach. You might lose connect with your family’s regular work w

Some tips for Child and You

“I am participating in the ‘Ready For Rewards’ activity for Rewardme in association with BlogAdda.” I read through some articles in https://www.rewardme.in/family/child-and-you . I really like some tips for child development. I have a 3 year old son and found it useful. So I thought I should also share some tips for child development. Raising a kid is not an easy thing. More than the effort it is the responsibility of giving him a good upbringing which is more important. It is a huge responsibility. Especially in today’s environment where there are so many things that can pollute a kid’s mind. It is very important to help the child in focusing in the right direction. You will have to start with some basic things. Firstly let the child sit with you while having food so that he learns how to respect food. Teach him to pray and thank God for providing the meal. This will imbibe some basic discipline in the child. Tell him that he should not waste food and there are so many k

Article on Family Bonding which I liked

“I am participating in the ‘Ready For Rewards’ activity for Rewardme in association with BlogAdda.” I read this article on reward me site named Romantic Ideas on budget and I really loved it. https://www.rewardme.in/family/family-living In today’s busy schedule it is becoming very tough for a couple to spend some quality time together. Sometimes we even forget the fact that we are not even talking enough to each other. In the regular routine of life we forget what we are missing. For example, my typical day starts early at 6 AM. I get up and go for a one hour walk. My wife is not able to accompany me for the walk as she needs to prepare breakfast and lunch for our family. Once I am back from walking, I get ready for office and leave for office by 8 AM. Then for the whole day I am in office. Even during the day I hardly find time to talk to her peacefully. When I am back from office in the evening, I spend some time watching movies and some other work. Before you reali

Article on Skin care which I liked

“I am participating in the ‘Ready For Rewards’ activity for Rewardme in association with BlogAdda.” I went through this article on Reward me site. The article was titled 5 Best Skin Exfoliators From Your Kitchen. The topic immediately appealed to me. My wife is a housewife and she spends quite a lot of time in kitchen. But that is for cooking for the entire family. So it was interesting to find out the skin care tips from Kitchen. https://www.rewardme.in/beauty/skin-care I was really surprised to see that coffee help in improving the skin soothing. The preparation of the paste was also very simple. Truly helpful. The tip using lemon and honey was very useful as well. This is one application that will be really useful when you are coming home after a long day. Normally we end up having an oily and polluted skin after coming through the heavy traffic. All that sweat and smoke makes your face dull and dark. I normally used to wash the face with soap. It would feel clean

My favourite dance moves in Taazgi ka Dhamaka video

Image
“I am blogging for  #MaxFreshMove activity  at BlogAdda  in association with  Colgate MaxFresh “ This is a mind blowing video with a great combination of dance moves and music. I have already blogged about the great moves of Allu Arjun and some scintillating music of Anushka. Now its time to review my favourite moments in this video. Here is the first clip. This initial move sets the tone for this video. His cool neck movement with his collar up. Really a cool move that shows his attitude and ease towards dance. For all those who have seen Allu Arjun's dance they will know that he starts the dance with a great move always. This move can be used in any function as a start sequence. Whether it is a wedding or a college function, right at the entry point this move will set the tone for the entire function. Then  there is this moment where both Allu Arjun and Anushka team up for the dance. This would be a perfect step for a group dance where everyone can do th

This song was so popular that it was remade in Hindi for a Salman Khan movie as well. But the original will always be remembered for Allu Arjun's dance moves. 3) Number three on the list is the song from bumbro song from Mission Kashmir. This song has a mix of folk dance and some great moves from Hrithik Roshan. What an amazing dancer. Hrithik j

Khushi Ke Pal

Khuljaye Bachpan with Kelloggs Chocos . Nice Topic to blog about. Especially for me when I am growing up with my 3 year old son. Yes, you heard me right. I am also growing up along with my son. Not growing old but growing up as a parent. Parenting teaches you a lot.  It also taught me how my 3 year son can teach me so many new things. He surely has taught me to be more patient. Sometimes I used to wonder how this 3 year old has so much energy left in him. He keeps playing throughout the day, jumping here and there and making so much of noise and mess. But even at the end of the day he is never tired. I used to wonder how I get tired even after 3 to 4 hours of work. Then I understood the secret behind his energy. It is the passion, curiosity and interest in doing each activity that gives him that energy. I surely learnt that until it is fun for him he will not mind doing it again and again. You should always encourage your kids even if he fails again and again. You just have to tel

Few more chances to energize your life

I am here yet again to blog about Allu Arjun’s dance and Anushka Manchanda’s music. Yes, I am blogging for #MaxFreshMove activity at BlogAdda.com. Are you? If you still have not started, then please start doing so as this is the best chance to think of various situations to get this super duo on stage together. I saw Allu Arjun in Arya and his dance was so spontaneous and lively. After a few years when I saw him the song “Ringa Ringa” it was sensational. The song was a huge hit for two reasons. One was the music and the other one was for his dance. I remember hearing that song in each and every party, event, and function for the next one year. Such is the reach for his dance. He made a mark for himself even in the hearts of people in North India through his dance. Anushka has grown leaps and bounds from the winner of Coke Popstars till her latest hits in Ungli and ABCD 2. She has sung so many lovely songs. She has sung so many hit numbers in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Even her

Energize your life

Music and dance are the most essential part of life. It is an embedded part of Indian culture. Hindu mythology’s two greatest stories Ramayana and Mahabharata have been told by many people in forms of music and dance. This world has so many faces of music and dance. India in itself has seen so many different types of music and dance. From classical to Jazz in music and from Baratnatyam to salsa in dance. We have so much of variety. Every piece of these arts have their own audience. We have music and dance for every mood. In our life we come across so many situations. Some situations make us very happy, some make us very sad. To enjoy the most happiest of situations we need music and dance. To bring us out of sadness again we need music and sound. We hear music from birth to death. Our mother sings for us when we are infants. We hear Shenoy and violin being played to mourn for death. We can’t separate music and dance from our lives. And when we hear it from the best in the ind

Simple Skin care Tips

Image
Skin is very delicate and needs to be handled properly. We all want a smooth skin especially in the face. Mostly women are very precautionary about their face. You would normally see them wearing a scarf around the face while going on a bike. This is to protect their face from damage due to pollution. It also protects them from direct exposure to sun. But this might not be enough. The skin is not only affected by external elements like dust, pollution and sun burn. There are also impacts which are caused from within the body. Your skin could be an oily skin which causes the face to look oily. There are various hormonal changes which could result in pimples and blackheads. Applying any cosmetic could result in chemical reactions resulting in permanent damage to skin. There could be various other side effects due to some cosmetic creams. It is always better to treat your skin naturally. So better to use a natural cream like VICCO Turmeric Cream . You have to keep your body cool

Airtel App for Smart phones

There was a time when you travel in a public transport you would see most of the people talking on their cell phones. But today most of them are using a smartphone. So you might ask what the difference is. Well during the days of cellphone a person would only talk on the cell phone or send an SMS. Apart from that you will not see him do any other thing. But today people do so much on a smart phone. They chat, browse, pay bills etc. using their smart phone. Airtel provides an application which helps you manage your time efficiently. In old days we used to visit the Airtel store and wait in queue for any of our requests. Whether it is paying a bill for yourself or your family members, or getting a new number or adding a package to the existing plan or changing the plan, for each of the request we had to visit the store. Another option is to call the contact center and wait for minutes on the IVR or talk to a customer service executive and place your request. But things have changed

What could be Ek Nayi League

We already have Indian Premier League, Indian Super League, Indian Hockey League and Indian Football League. So what could be this Ek Nayi League . One thing is for sure when Kapil Dev comes with something it is normally very interesting. He has been a great cricketer for India and one of best ambassador to Indian Sport. The way he encourages young talent is amazing. I saw the videos where he is addressing to celebrities from different spheres. He is addressing to Dhoni from Cricket, Sania from Tennis and Kapil Sharma from Television. So I guess this is not something which is restricted to cricket. I believe this would be a game which anyone can play. But the most important thing here is how you play it. In all his videos Kapil mentions that if you play with your heart you will lose. When it comes to celebrities the first thing that comes to my mind is the passion in which they do a thing. It is only this passion that helps them in achieving great heights. And when we talk ab

It's time to uplift underground music

When it comes to music in India people mostly refer to Film music. So the film music directors always get the limelight. This is normally the case with the general population. This is because most of them listen to music in FM radio or TV. And these channels always play film music. So it is obvious that only those mainline music directors get the recognition in public. Then there are those famous Carnatic and Classical artists who are well known in their circle. But even their visibility is restricted to the audience who listen to this genre of music. There are various theaters which host Carnatic and classical music concerts. But we all forget the underground music directors and groups who don’t get the recognition they deserve. We normally see them in public concerts organized mainly by corporates or colleges. It is normally the youth of the nation which gets to know these musicians through their college functions and office parties. In today’s online world it is very e

A smart phone with a new experience

It took a long time before I could convince myself to buy a smartphone. I was very comfortable using my basic phone. The main reason for that was I believed phone is best used for making calls and messaging which my basic phone is very capable of doing. Why should I shell more amount of money and invest in a smartphone to do the same thing. All my friends had migrated to smartphones within a period of two years. It all ranged from rupees 15,000 to rupees 60,000 across various brands. I used to wonder why people are investing so much on a phone. My perception changed when I visited my friends place for a vacation. He had a smartphone which I was using for a few days and after using it I realized it is more than a phone. It changed my overall experience with phones. Then I started looking out of various brands in the market and recently I came across this news on the Internet about ASUS Zenfone 2 which will be launched shortly. I looked at the specifications and it really thri
