An unforgettable experience at Wayanad Petal Resorts

We stayed in Wayanad Petal resorts last weekend and I must say it was a very pleasant experience. We were a big family of 27 members and all of them loved this place. 

Our trip started with the big gang travelling by train from Chennai Central to Kozhikode on Saturday evening. We reached Coimbatore on Sunday early morning and refreshed at the waiting room. Our travels (Diya Travels) arrived on time. A nice 26 seater tempo traveller with good AC. A very polite druver as well. A special thanks to Ranjith Kumar (owner of Diya Travels). I would recommend this travels for anyone visiting Kozhikode.

We then had our breakfast and started on our journey to Wayanad. The route has got quite a few hairpin bends but I must say it was a very pleasant drive apart for a few members who had nausea :) We reached the resort around lunch time. We were immediately treated with a nice lunch till our check in got sorted out. The hotel staff helped us tag our luggage for the respective rooms and moved them to our room. By the time we finished lunch all our luggage was settled and we got time for some rest.

After a small nap we headed directly to the swimming pool. Had some tea over the pool side and enjoyed the view from the pool. The entire surrounding of the resort is so peaceful and beautiful. It felt like you were in the lap of nature surrounded by mountains on all four sides. The rooms were excellent. The swimming pool in particular was quite amazing. The edge of the pool is built in a way that you feel like you are at the edge of a valley. Quite amazing. The pool was very neatly maintained. 

The breakfast, lunch and dinner were all very tasty. They served us a traditional Kerala meals on banana leaf which was mouth watering. They have a play room and a badminton court. Myself and my brother found some lost energy on the badminton court :) An unforgettable moment. The gym is still not completely ready. Didn't try the Spa but i believe it is good as well. The evening bonfire was set up with music system for both days and we had a great time dancing to some fast numbers. 

Special mention to the staff in the resorts. The general manager Shine was very helpful in accommodating all our requests. The service staff were all well behaved. The facilities in the room are also very good. Overall this place is a definite value for money if you want to spend some valuable time with family. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay in the resort. Thanks to all the staff of Petal resorts.
